A stock screener built around F-Score, Z-Score and a composite quality score
Filter the live US universe by Piotroski F-Score, Altman Z-Score, valuation, quality and growth — then start from a value, growth, dividend or quality preset. Free for 14 days, no card.
US coverage included in your free 14-day trial · no credit card required
Most free screeners stop at price and P/E. StoqPulse screens on the metrics that actually separate durable businesses from value traps: the Piotroski F-Score for financial health, the Altman Z-Score for bankruptcy risk, and a composite score that ranks every match. US coverage is included in your free 14-day trial (no card), the universe is live, and a missing metric never silently drops a name from your results.
Screen on F-Score and Z-Score, not just P/E
The core filter set is built for disciplined research: minimum Piotroski F-Score (0–9, nine financial-health checks), a minimum Altman Z-Score for solvency, max P/E, and a minimum market cap. Toggle 'Profitable only' to require positive net income (TTM) and 'Positive momentum' to require an up-move over the last 20 sessions. Every match shows its F-Score dots, Z-Score zone (above 2.99 safe, 1.81–2.99 grey, below 1.81 distress) and composite score side by side, so quality is visible at a glance — not buried.
Five one-click presets: value, growth, dividend, quality, low-vol
Start from a preset instead of a blank form. Quality compounders demands F-Score 7+, Z-Score 3+, strong gross margin and ROA, and low leverage. Deep value caps P/E at 15 with P/B and P/S ceilings. Momentum leaders requires revenue growth, RSI strength and price above both moving averages. Dividend growth screens for yield plus rising earnings. Low volatility caps beta and asks for a steadier uptrend. Each preset loads its full criteria into the filters — tweak any of them, then run.
Advanced filters across valuation, quality, growth and technicals
Open Advanced filters for finer control, grouped the way you actually think. Valuation: max P/B, max P/S, minimum dividend yield. Quality: minimum Z-Score, gross margin, ROA, current ratio, and a max leverage (long-term debt/assets) cap. Growth: minimum YoY revenue growth and a positive-earnings-growth toggle. Market and liquidity: max market cap, price band, beta band, minimum average volume, plus market and exchange. Technical: RSI band and above-50-day / above-200-day moving-average gates.
A live US universe — no stale snapshots, no fabricated data
Running a screen queries the live market universe. StoqPulse fans the coarse pass across every sector and round-robins the results, so 'All sectors' is a genuine union rather than a mega-cap-tech sample. The top candidates are then enriched per symbol to compute the F-Score, Z-Score, P/E and composite score from real fundamentals. Honest by design: if a financial statement is missing, the F-Score reads unknown rather than a false zero, so a data gap never quietly empties your list.
Rank, sort and drill straight into analysis
Matches are ranked by the composite fundamental score by default, then you can re-sort the full match set by market cap, P/E, dividend yield or Z-Score — the sort decides which names surface, not just their order. Click any row to open the full Analysis page for that ticker, or line up your shortlist in the multi-stock Compare workspace, which sets 2 to 10 names side by side on composite score, F-Score, Z-Score, valuation and key fundamentals with the best cell in each row highlighted. Multi-select sectors to combine them, and the result header tells you exactly how many names matched and how many were enriched, so you always know what you are looking at.
Save your screens and reuse them
Build a screen once and keep it. Save any filter combination — core sliders plus every advanced criterion and sector selection — to your personal library under a name you choose. Reload it later from the 'My screens' row to re-run it instantly, update it in place as your thesis evolves, or fork it as a new screen. Your saved screens travel with your account, so the disciplined process you designed is one click away every session.

The Piotroski F-Score grades a company 0–9 across nine financial-health checks covering profitability, leverage and operating efficiency. In StoqPulse you set a minimum F-Score and every match shows its score as dots. Higher scores signal improving fundamentals; it is a quality filter that helps separate genuine bargains from deteriorating businesses.
The Altman Z-Score estimates bankruptcy risk from balance-sheet and earnings ratios. StoqPulse colours each result by zone: above 2.99 is the safe zone, 1.81–2.99 is grey, and below 1.81 signals distress. Set a minimum Z-Score in the Quality filters to exclude financially fragile companies before they reach your shortlist.
The composite score blends a fundamental component with a live technical component (RSI, momentum and moving-average position from price history), with sentiment and macro components weighted in. The default weighting leans fundamental. Screen results are ranked by this score by default, giving you a single 0–100 number to compare names quickly.
Yes. Five presets cover the main styles: Deep value, Momentum leaders, Dividend growth, Quality compounders and Low volatility. Each loads a complete, sensible set of valuation, quality, growth and technical criteria. Use one as-is or treat it as a starting point and adjust any filter before running.
No — that is deliberate. Each filter only rejects a stock when the metric is known and actually fails. If a company's statements are incomplete, its F-Score shows as unknown rather than a false zero, so a data gap never silently removes a name. You see honest results, including where data is thin.
