StoqPulse — Frequently Asked Questions

Whatever you're wondering about StoqPulse — methodology, data, billing, security — it's probably here.

Getting started

StoqPulse is a stock research workspace for disciplined investors. It combines a composite scoring engine, a fast stock screener, deep per-name fundamental and technical analysis, portfolio risk analytics (VaR, concentration), a decision journal, macro regime scoring, backtesting, fair value / DCF, earnings transcripts, AI analysis narratives and an education library — all in one streamlined interface, covering US, Canadian and European markets.

Self-directed individual investors, family-office and boutique portfolio managers, and quantitatively-minded researchers who want a consistent, transparent process rather than scattered tools and gut feel.

No. StoqPulse is brokerage-agnostic — no account linking is required. You use the full research suite and track positions you enter yourself, so research is the product.

Under two minutes. Create an account, pick a preset screen or add a few tickers to your watchlist, and you're researching immediately.

Methodology

We normalise dozens of inputs into two pillars — fundamentals and technicals — then blend them into a single 0–100 score (sentiment and macro pillars are reserved for a future release and contribute nothing today). On Power you can adjust the fundamentals/technical weighting with custom factor controls so the composite score reflects your own investment philosophy.

The Piotroski F-Score is a nine-point checklist of financial health spanning profitability, leverage and operating efficiency. We compute it for every name and show each component so you can see exactly why a company scores the way it does.

Yes. Every score breaks down into its inputs, and the AI copilot names the underlying data behind its answers. Every input is visible.

Data & accuracy

From five integrated data providers covering market prices, company fundamentals, macroeconomic series, regulatory filings and news. The free 14-day trial receives delayed previous-close quotes and charts; Starter, Pro and Power receive real-time intraday US market data (non-US venues may be exchange-delayed).

The free 14-day trial uses delayed previous-close quotes and charts; Starter, Pro and Power use real-time intraday US market data (non-US venues may be exchange-delayed). Fundamentals and statements are fetched fresh from our provider when you open a name, and the price-linked valuation ratios recompute against the live price.

The free 14-day trial and Starter cover US equities (NYSE, Nasdaq, NYSE American). Pro adds Canada — TSX and TSX Venture in the screener, plus CSE (.CN) names for watchlists, portfolios and analysis. Power adds the UK (LSE) in the screener and European names — XETRA, Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, Borsa Italiana, Madrid, Oslo and Stockholm — for search, quotes, charts, watchlists, portfolios, alerts and analysis. The screener and heat map currently cover US, Canada (TSX/TSXV) and the UK (LSE).

Yes. Cancel from Account → Pricing (or Billing) — it opens the secure Stripe billing portal, and you keep access through the end of your billing period, with no penalties.

AI features

Ask AI lets you ask plain-English questions about any stock — fundamentals, valuation, risk, recent filings, news — and receive a grounded, source-backed answer. AI analysis narratives generate a structured research summary covering business quality, financial health and key risks. Both draw from a single monthly AI-call allowance that scales by plan (narratives are additionally capped on Starter) — see the pricing page for current limits.

No. AI-generated analysis narratives and Ask AI responses are automated research tools, not personalised financial advice. Answers name the underlying data so you can verify it. StoqPulse is not a registered investment adviser, and AI output is designed to support your own research process — not to replace your judgment.

We take grounding seriously. AI answers are anchored to the data available in your workspace — financials, filings, macro indicators — and are instructed to name the metric and fiscal period behind each claim. News answers link the real article, and any link the model invents is stripped server-side before you see it. We do not generate speculative price targets or unsupported forward-looking predictions. If the underlying data is unavailable, the AI says so.

Security & privacy

Connections and credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all of its data at any time from Account → Settings.

Never. Your holdings, watchlists and journal are private to your account.
